FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q. How do we book you for our wedding or event?

The easiest way to book us is to fill in the form on our contact us page. The more detail you can share about your vision, the venue, the length of booking, guest numbers, and the kind of atmosphere you’d like the music to create, the quicker we can put together an accurate quote for your wedding or event in Sydney, and a quote including travel if its out of town.

 

Q. How far in advance should we book live wedding entertainment?

Its always best to be earlier rather than later. We get booked over a year out by many couples, so for the best chances of us being available we recommend you book as soon as you feel comfortable that we are the right band for you.

Q. Do you have a packages brochure?

Yes! We have a full brochure that outlines all of our wedding and event packages, starting prices and inclusions—from relaxed acoustic ceremony music and vibey cocktail hours, to a pumping reception party band.

Q. Are the instruments in the band customisable?

Yes! Our core and always present duo features Jasmin (vocals & percussion) and Brett (guitar & loops), and you’re welcome to build on that to create your ideal lineup. You can add any of the following musicians to create a trio or a larger 4–6 piece band:

  • Extra Vocals

  • Saxophone

  • Drums

  • Bass

  • Keyboard

This lets you tailor the sound for your ceremony, canapé hour, cocktail hour or reception. Please note that our biggest lineup (2 vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys) may require additional PA and a professional sound engineer, which will come with an extra fee.

 

Q. Do you travel?

Yes, we do! We regularly perform at weddings and events across Greater Sydney, the South Coast, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains and beyond, and are open for destination weddings. Travel fees will vary depending on the location, and accommodation may be required for longer distances or late finishes.

 

Q. What are your rates?

Our rates vary from event to event, as every wedding and event is a little different. We do have minimum call-out fees, and we always aim to keep our pricing fair and accessible. If you have a budget in mind, let us know before we prepare your quote so we can tailor options that best suit your day. And if your quote comes back slightly outside your budget, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to discuss alternatives. Equally, we will never inflate our pricing if your maximum budget happens to be higher than our usual rate.

 

Q. Do you take requests?

Absolutely! Every package includes requests for your chosen special-moment songs*.

 

Ceremony music requests include:

  • Walking down the aisle

  • Signing the registry

  • Ceremony exit song

Reception music requests include:

  • First dance

  • Cake cutting

  • Father–daughter dance

  • Entrance songs

  • Bouquet / garter toss

  • Final song of the night

We’re also happy to take a couple of general requests if we’re given enough notice. Please note that for small lineups using loops that not every song is possible to recreate in an amazing way, so they may be better played via track than live.

*We may set a limit of up to five custom song requests depending on how busy our week is around your event, as learning personalised songs for multiple bookings can take quite a bit of preparation time. In these cases, you’re still very welcome to make the requests, we just may play them via laptop/DJ instead of live. 

 

The moments that tend to work well being played via track instead of live are - 

  • Reception Entries

  • Cake Cutting

  • Bouquet/Garter toss

  • Final song of the night/Sparkler tunnel

You’re also very welcome to create your own Spotify playlist for music between sets—we’ll download it before the day to keep everything running smoothly.

 

Q. Do you offer a DJ package?

Yes! We can provide a simple DJ set at the end of the night. However bear in mind that we’re primarily live musicians rather than full-time DJs, so we’re also happy to organise one of our professional partner DJs if you’d like a more energetic, club-style finish to the night. Just let us know what you have in mind. An external DJ will incur their own fee added on to the quote.

 

Q. Do you offer a wedding MC service?

No, we do not provide an MC service. However we work with many week in and week out, so we are certainly more than happy to assist you with some recommendations for a great wedding MC.

Q. Do you supply your own sound equipment?

Yes! All sound equipment and stage lighting is supplied, set up and operated by us, all we need from the venue is access to a power point. For outdoor ceremonies etc we have a battery powered portable PA, so we can be setup exactly where you envision.

Q. Can we come see you perform live in public?


Absolutely! We play at a variety of public events and pub gigs across Sydney. We regularly post our upcoming shows on Instagram, so you can always check there to see where we’ll be on the weekend. If you’d like to know specific dates, or want a list of where we’ll be over the next few weeks, just reach out and we’ll happily let you know exactly when and where we’re performing.
